The Patriotic Alliance is making massive inroads in the Western Cape as it prepares for the upcoming local government elections.
In the past few weeks, the party has been welcoming a number of high-ranking politicians who have found themselves at odds with their organisations.
On Tuesday, the party announced that Karel Papier, the deputy mayor of Theetwaterskloof Municipality and DA’s Regional Chairman in the TWK region, had joined the party.
Papier has been part of the TWK since 2009 and, during February 2020, became alderman. Papier resigned from all DA structures and joined the PA. His resignation is said to be based on principle.
PA president Gayton McKenzie described Papier as a tried and tested individual who would add immense value to the organisation. He also took to social media to welcome him.
“He is done and tired of the Democratic Alliance and wants to be with the Green Train. He wants to be with a God-fearing party. He sacrificed his salary, he said my people need me,” said McKenzie.
So proud of the PA I cannot wait for elections 8n October because on the 28thwe will swear Ina mayor of the PA
If God is for the PA then who dares to be against us? Who dares????
